Oh man, I wish I still had my old Megos...Dash, in your vast collection, what would be:1. Most valuable.2. Favorite3. Oldest
Brian,I'd hardly consider my collection "vast". Although my fiance` would no doubt consider it that, as well as a waste of money, infantile, space consuming, and mother fucking, dust collecting, Christless plastic, cuntlicking...And So on.For a good gander at a "vast" collection, check out either "Toy Haven", or "The Fortress of Testicular Fortitude". Their links are provided on PPP. Anyhoo. To answer your questions:1.) In regards to value, that's kind of tough to say. I'm not one to peruse and pore over price guides. I've never thought of my collection as an investment, merely a hobby. When you collect stuff, whether it be toys, comic books or postage stamps, it should be a subject that you find personally interesting. That way, if the collector market takes a crap, you still own a ton of stuff that you think is cool. That having been said, I've found that the only real way to accurately estimate a figure's dollar value is to see what it's selling for on Ebay. I guess that my most "valuable" figure would probably be the recently aquired Hot Toys Hellboy. 3.) Favorite figure? That's a tough one. I'd probably go with either Sideshow's Indiana Jones (because I waited for-fucking-ever for a decent figure of the character), or Sideshow's The Dead Subject 805: Tactical Containment Unit Operator (because I'm a huge fan of all things zombie).3.) Oldest: Trying to think here... probably some of the original Star Wars figures that are hold overs from my childhood. Nothing ancient really, unless you consider the late seventies or early eighties ancient.
