"Too Big To Fail" ...

Because the only thing that should be "too big to fail" is my action figure collection, I'm urging each and every one of you (THAT MEANS YOU!), to follow these here links, and piss off a bank executive or two...

Cobra Commander's New Look (Whatcha Think..?)

Surfacing on the web this past week was the following image of concept artwork of Cobra Commander's latest look. Apparently this is how Ol' C.C. will appear in IDW's G.I. Joe: COBRA II comic slated to drop this Wednesday. While it is nowhere near as appalling as how Cobra's head honcho appeared in last summer's cinematic abortion, Rise of Cobra, I'm still not quite feeling this one either.
However, given what IDW has so far gifted us with as far as Joe comics goes (if you haven't checked out GI JOE: ORIGINS yet, do so), I'm willing to give them the benefit of the doubt on this one.
Still, he looks far too dapper, and less the would-be despot (IMHO).

For some reason, when I look at him now, I think of the Monopoly guy...
What do you think..?

HOT TOYS: Inglorious Basterds Aldo Raine...

It was amusing as all hell for a while there... Ever since Hot Toys originally hinted at an upcoming Inglorious Basterds figure, the boards over at Sideshow Freaks were a back and forth over which character from the film was more deserving of being crafted into 1/6th scale goodness- Raine or Landa.
Raine wins, Landa fans.
The Aldo Raine figure looks pretty damn good. The one thing that seems to be bugging me though is his mouth. There's something going on in the way his lips are parted that ain't sitting right by Yours Truly...
What do you Basterds think..?

Kevin Smith's Green Hornet!

Just left my local comic dealer, and had to make a quick report on this one.
It's been a while since the realm of comicdom has shat out anything that's really piqued the interest of Yours Truly, but this afternoon all that came to a screaching halt as a laid eyes upon a teaser one sheet of Dynamite Entertainment's upcoming comic book adaptation of Kevin "Clerks" Smith's unproduced Green Hornet film.
I love Kevin Smith, and every time I pop open a comic book he's penned it's brought at least one or two shivers up my geekly spinal column. When the announcement was made a while ago that he'd be working on the Green Hornet film, I was pretty stoked. Unfortunately, as most Hollywood announcements go, the dreams of Smith penned Hornet film went the way of the Dodo, and it never saw the flicker of a movie house lights. To add insult to injury, the property was (for reasons that boggle the imagination) handed over to that badly shaven, butterball Seth Rogen, who's slated to play the Hornet in an altogether different, upcoming feature.
Is it a planned comedy, an action movie..? Who the fuck knows. All I know is that the Smith Hornet script is being made into a comic. And if that ain't enough to get your nerd juices spewin', check out the following images by none other than Alex Ross and J. Scott Campbell...

1/6 Girl Mission "Judge" (Dredd)...

I caught this one while meandering through an online toy catalog this morning. Thought it was pretty cool. 3A is rumored to be putting out their own line of 2000 AD related figures some time soon, but if you just can't wait, the following iron fisted, fascist cutie may just suffice...
