NECA's Terminator 2 T-1000...

It's nice to see that, courtesy of NECA, the T-1000 is once again getting some action figure love...

Kevin Smith Is Too Fat To Fly...

While he's never appeared to be the most svelt motherfucker I've ever laid eyes on, Kevin Smith has never exactly looked like one of those three ton tubbies with an oxygen tube taped under their nostrils and being hauled around by a heavy, motorized wheelchair. Nevertheless, Southwest Airlines recently pulled (or maybe rolled) Ol' Silent Bob himself from one of it's flights for being to damned fat to fly.
The details are sketchy (see link to the article below), but I guess Smith is plenty pissed, and Southwest is a wee bit embarrassed.
Note to Southwest: Just tell him how much you loved Jersey Girl, that you're totally looking forward to his upcoming Green Hornet comic, and treat him to a complimentary Hefty bag full of your world famous fancy peanuts.

Hot Toys 1/6th Terminator 2: Sarah Connor Teaser...

Nice to see that Hot Toys will be reaching further into the Terminator films and producing characters beyond the Ts. Still, I'm crossing my fingers for a T-1000...

Palisades G.I. JOE Cobra Python Patrol Mini Statue...

Essentially, Palisades Cobra Python Patrol Officer mini statue is little more than a repaint of their Crimson Guard mini statue. However, since I'm a sucker for both Cobra items and six inch figures, I figured I'd burn away a few bucks and pick this one up on Ebay...

Sideshow G.I. JOE 1/6th Cobra Officer Quasi Review...

When I see this figure, all I can think (beyond "fuck yeah", and mentally shootin' the horns \m/) is, "where the hell were these designs in Rise Of Cobra..?"
Instead of the classic Cobra look, the audience of ROC was "treated" to updated versions of Cobra Troopers that looked like some sort of half assed, armored rejects from somewhere Beyond Thunderdome than they did the Hasbro-verse.
Anyhoo, here's Sideshow's much, much better version of the Cobra Officer...

If you're interested, this badboy is still available over at the Sideshow Website...

Readers, meet Sideshow Collectibles Cobra Trooper- AKA Mister Ball Out Swinging.
When I first caught a glimpse of this terrorist badboy over at Sideshow's website, it sealed the friggin' deal for me becoming a collector of SSC's Joe Line...

Sideshow G.I. Joe 1/6th STORM SHADOW Quasi Review...

Okay. So I know it's been ages since my last action figure post and to all of my regular readers (all three of them), I do apologize. I've recently moved and, most of my collection (including all of my more recent aquisitions) has been packed away, while Mrs. MacBastard and I have gotten settled.
While an ass load of my figures still remain in boxes, I decided that I'd pull out a few of my new faves, and post a couple of Quasi Reviews over the next few days.
First off will be pics of my second favorite figure released last year: from Sideshow Collectibles balls out 1/6th G.I. Joe line, The Cobra Ninja STORM SHADOW...

You may have noticed my lack of pics featuring Storm Shadow wielding his twin katanas. My bad. Unfortunately, the extra sword gripping hands are packed away in Storm Shadow's box.

While I'll religiously follow each and every one of Mr. T's valuable tenets (gosh, who wouldn't!?!), it'll sure be hard not to accept a puppy from a stranger. A toy or some candy? Sure. But a puppy!?! I don't know T. That one'll be tough...
