Hot Toys Mars Attacks: MARTIAN SOLDIER Quasi Review

Every once in a while, a figure comes along that drops in the mailbox, and upon opening it, you're giggling to myself over just how friggin' cool it is.
Hot Toys Mars Attacks Martian Soldier is just such an action figure. It is eight inches of plastic and rubber, Martian coolness that's impossible to not be giddy over (did that just sound like a review of a dildo..? Oh well...).

Medicom Spawn Vinyl Figure (Original Version)

I picked up the "Hamburger Head" version of Medicom's super deformed Spawn figure a while back (blogged about way, wayyyyy back when), and nabbed the original version of the figure for a mere 10 smackers (with FREE SHIPPING no less) on Ebay last week. Not bad, considering I've seen the sucker listed for 150 bucks during other auctions...

Sideshow Premium Format PATIENT ZERO Quasi Review

Having skinked myself out of this balls out item by cancelling my pre-order before its initial release, I ended up Picking this one up at a local retailer (at around the same price I'd have shelled out from Sideshow's website, but far less than I'd shell out for it on Ebay).
I LOVE this figure. Being a zombie fan in general, the prospect of owning a Premium Format zombie figure is more than a bit requisite for Your's Truly. I'd of eventually picked up a zombie PF from Sideshow no matter what, but all that aside, the figure rocks. Amazing pose, amazing sculpt. Feast your eyes on Patient Zero, bitches!!!

Sideshow Premium Format Hellboy 2: The Golden Army Quasi Review

I think that, fanboy/girl or not, very few sequels are better than the original films that inspired them. For me, Hellboy II: The Golden Army, was one of the rare occasions where I felt that the second installment was far superior than the original.
Sideshow gave a fitting polystone/mixed media representation of Ol' Red with their colossal premium format Hellboy figure released last year...
